When his first book ‘This Is Going to Hurt’ became a phenomenal success, author Adam Kay hoped that the government would pay closer attention to the mental wellbeing of healthcare professionals and what can be done to help people cope with the trauma they see every day. With the highs and lows of the job, the Christmas period brings with it some bizarre accidents, such as the tin-foil turkey man. In his new book ‘Twas The Nightshift Before Christmas’, Adam hopes to shed some light and praise on the healthcare professionals who work throughout the Christmas period and festive and alarming ailments that it may bring.
